Australian Vending Company (AVC, we, us, our) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with and how you can access or correct it.
We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy applies to ausvend.co and to the brands we operate.
If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use our website or provide us with personal information.

The information we collect depends on how you deal with us.
Website visitors and enquirers. Your name, business name, job title, email address, phone number, site address, and anything else you choose to include in an enquiry or quote request.
Client and site contacts. Contact details for the people who manage a site, plus records of service requests, installations, stock preferences and correspondence.
Supplier and contractor contacts. Business contact details, banking details for payment, and insurance or compliance documents.
People who buy from our assets. Transaction records such as the product purchased, the price, the date and time, and the machine or market involved. Cashless payments are processed by our payment providers. We do not collect or store your full card number, CVV or PIN. If you use a micro market app or account, we may hold your name, email address and payment method.
Job applicants. Your resume, work history, qualifications, referee comments, right-to-work evidence and the results of any pre-employment checks you consent to.
Technical information. Your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, the pages you visit, the time and date of your visit, and the site you arrived from.
We do not seek sensitive information as a matter of course. Where we do need it, for example dietary or allergen requirements for a product mix, or health information relevant to a workplace adjustment, we will collect it only with your consent and only where it is reasonably necessary.
We may collect personal information directly from you. That includes when you complete a form on our website, call or email us, request a quote, attend a trade show or meeting, apply for a role, or buy from one of our machines or micro markets.
We also collect information from other sources, including your employer or the operator of the site where our equipment is installed, publicly available sources such as company websites and the ASIC and ABN registers, referees you nominate, and our payment and technology providers.
If you give us personal information about another person, please make sure you have their permission and that they have seen this policy.
We use personal information to:
respond to enquiries and prepare quotes and proposals
assess a site and design a product mix
install, stock, service and maintain machines, micro markets and smart fridges
process transactions and refunds
manage our contracts, invoicing and accounts
provide customer support and handle complaints
recruit and assess job applicants
improve our products, service routes and website
send you marketing about our products and services, where you have not opted out
meet our legal, tax, insurance and workplace safety obligations
If you do not provide the information we ask for, we may not be able to respond to your enquiry, install or service equipment at your site, or consider your application.
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. A cookie is a small file stored on your device.
We use them to keep the site working correctly, remember your preferences, understand how the site is used, and measure the performance of our advertising.

We may send you information about our products, services and case studies by email, phone or post. We send commercial electronic messages in line with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).
Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also opt out at any time by emailing info@ausvend.co or calling 1300 770 888. We will action your request promptly.
Opting out of marketing does not stop service messages, such as notice of a machine outage, a delivery or an invoice.
We disclose personal information only where it is necessary. Recipients may include:
product suppliers, wholesalers and logistics providers
installers, technicians and other contractors who attend your site
payment processors, cashless reader providers and banks
IT, cloud hosting, email, CRM and website providers
marketing, analytics and advertising providers
professional advisers, including accountants, lawyers and insurers
a purchaser or prospective purchaser in connection with a sale of our business
government agencies, regulators, courts or law enforcement, where required or authorised by law
We require our service providers to protect personal information and to use it only for the purpose we engaged them for. We do not sell personal information.
Some of our providers store or process data outside Australia.
Before disclosing personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient handles it in a way consistent with the APPs, usually through contractual protections.
We hold personal information in electronic systems and, in some cases, in paper records. We protect it with access controls, staff training, network security, and confidentiality obligations in our contracts.
No system is completely secure. If you send us information over the internet, you do so at your own risk.
If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm, we will assess it and notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purpose we collected it, or as long as the law requires. Financial and employment records are generally kept for seven years. When information is no longer needed, we destroy it or de-identify it.

If you have a complaint about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us at info@ausvend.co. We will consider and respond to your complaint within a reasonable period.
Our website links to sites we do not control. This policy does not cover them. Please read their privacy policies.
Our website and our services are directed at businesses and organisations, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top. Material changes will be notified on our website.
